INDIA

  • In June 2009, members of the Association for a Better World donated 3000 Euros and offered it to two Tibetan monks Geshe Norsang and Monk Sangye. The monks destined this amount towards supporting former Tibetan political prisoners from Chinese jails, and for the construction of a new accommodation building for refugee monks, within the Ganden Monastery where Geshe Norsang works and lives.

  • In June 2009, the Association accomplished a project »Support for Indian Schools«. We invited cooperation from the Primary & Junior School for Special Needs Children OŠ Gustava Šiliha Maribor whose children and teachers contributed to a project concerning the children’ hand craft products, and they also collected symbolic donations. This project also involved some book publishers, and language schools. All the products, the collected school items, and the books for learning English were given to two Primary and Junior Schools in Southern India. On the same occasion, the Association gifted both the mentioned schools in India with educative theatre performances on human values. (Photo Gallery)
